We start operation from two workshops with 30 or so workers, mainly undertaking OEM cutting blade and mold manufacturing tasks.
Two more workshops are built to accommodate the increased demand. We move to a new office building together with 80 employees. Other than taking jobs outsourced by other manufacturers, we begin to receive purchase orders from real customers.
The company is renamed to Henglida Machine Blade Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 10 million RMB. HENGLIDA is a dedicated Chinese cutting blade manufacturer who owns 10 workshops and 2 office buildings, encompassing over 45,000 square meters of land area. The number of new hires and old workers add up to more than 300. We are ISO9000-2000 certified and maintain 2 top-notch production machines.
HENGLIDA purchases 30 sets of surface grinder, 15 sets of CNC small hole drilling EDM machine and CNC wire cutting machine, and builds a scientific research laboratory where 30 researchers and developers constantly launch researches on cutting blade technologies. 30 utility model patents are granted to us.
We reach a milestone in our relationship with Guangdong Strong Group by signing a contract which qualifies us as the major supplier of packaging blade for the three subsidiaries of STRONG Group in China.
Leaders from China's Ministry of Science and Technology take a tour around our factory. During the visit, government officials spur HENGLIDA employees on to work harder and offer valuable advices on how to advance the company.

Our heat treatment center is completed. The newly built heat treating center is equipped with industry-leading vacuum heat treating equipment, along with regular heat treatment machines. In addition to meeting internal production needs, the center also undertakes outsourced heat treatment jobs.
Another workshop is successfully built, where sinter-hardening and press-forming works will be done. In addition to producing hardened alloys for use to make cutter blades, we also plan on selling these blanks of hard alloys directly to customers.
